Additional Information

A scroll of the ages is an additional critical bonus of 4% for crafting, which lasts 5 minutes. The only way to get 5 of them is by completing the quest Picks for Delivery. This is not a repeatable quest, so it can be done only once per character. Retrieving the quest can be a bit difficult, so here is some additional information about getting it done 

(Note: Most of the quests are marked as Raid quests, but only the one where you actually need to enter Helegrod is one).

 

Preparations

Talk with Anornaneth in Rivendell [28.9S, 5.6W] and get the quest [45] Stirrings Within Helegrod Raid.

Talk with Elrond in the library to hand in the quest and accept the quest [45] The Deeds of Durin Raid from him.

Travel to Glóin in his camp in the Misty Mountains [24.8S, 4.1W] to hand in the quest. (Note: There is a swift travel from Rivendell to Glóin’s Camp.)

Accept the quest [45] In Sight of the Bitter Stair Raid given by Glóin and travel a bit north from Glóin’s camp to Sigrun (by the campfire [19.1S, 2.9W]) and hand in the quest.

Talk with Sigrun and get the quest [45] The Worm-hunter's Lament Raid. (Note: if you are unable to take this quest, continue reading Helegrod instance.)

Travel to Othrikar in the North Downs and speak with Ormulf Worm-hunter [7.2S, 45.0W] to hand in the quest. If he hasn’t got a new quest for you, he will have one soon...

Helegrod Instance

Stay in Othrikar.

You need to complete the Helegrod quest [50] Raid: Fangs for Nothing Raid in the Drake Wing. If you already have done this quest before, you can continue reader Picks for Delivery, otherwise the following steps.

In order to let the quest items drop, the instance mobs must be green to you. So the instance can’t be more than 7 levels under your own.

Running this instance with 4 level 95s on level 88 is no problem at all.

Keep rejoining the instance until the quest is auto-bestowed upon joining the instance (it's random whether you get it or not when joining). You can just exit the instance, and get back in.

Once you have the quest and the mobs are green, start killing mobs until you get the 15 fangs needed. Killing mobs in the first room should be more than enough.

Picks for Delivery

Leave the instance (or clear the whole instance if you prefer) and notice that Ormwulf Worm-hunter in Othrikar now has a quest for you called [50] Picks for Delivery Raid.

Accept the quest and then travel to Thorin's Hall to find Wegeir [13.8S, 103.2W], who is roaming around in the middle section between the auction hall and the vaults.

Complete the quest, and enjoy crafting!
